DAY 4 HAKONE | IN THE SHADOW OF MOUNT FUJI
Today, the great outdoors call your family to Hakone, a beautiful resort town known for its onsens (hot springs) and mountainous scenery. Hakone is set within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park and surrounds Lake Ashi, which you explore on a scenic boat cruise. Back on shore, ride a cable car on the Hakone Komagatake Ropeway for a spectacular view of Mount Fuji, followed by a hike around the lake. Stroll the grassy hillsides of Hakone’s Open Air Museum, taking in sculptures and artwork from the likes of Picasso and Henry Moore. This evening, join your fellow travellers for a game of bowling — a popular leisure activity in Japan — at your resort, which sits perched on a mountainside overlooking the Pacific Ocean. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 5 OSAKA | RIDING THE RAILS BY BULLET TRAIN
Enjoy a relaxing morning at your resort. Later, Ride Like a Local by bullet train past Mount Fuji to Osaka, one of the country’s largest cities and a renowned foodie hub. You have the opportunity to step into the ring and learn the tactics of the sport from an instructor. In Nara, see Todai-ji Temple and its bronze Buddha statue, the largest in Japan. Wander through Nara Park, home to thousands of tame deer believed to be messengers of the gods. Return to Osaka.
