Day 1 Cairo
Arrive at any time and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 Alexandria
Travel to Alexandria with a visit to the Wadi Naturn Monasteries, guided by a local monk.(B)

Day 3 Alexandria, Cairo
Explore key historic and archeological sites including: Pompey’s Pillar, the Roman catacombs and amphitheatre, the Citadel of Qait Bay, the Montazah Palace and the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina (library). Return to Cairo for overnight.(B)

Day 4 Cairo
On-site lectures at the Pyramids of Giza, Sakkara and Dahshur, entrance into the interior of the Khafre pyramid and visit to the Sphinx. Option to take a camel ride at Giza. Overnight sleeper train to Aswan.(B,D)

Day 5 Aswan
Take a felucca boat ride on the Nile, visit an authentic Nubian village and enjoy dinner with a local family. Option to visit the local market.(B,D)

Day 6 Abu Simbel, Nile Cruise Boat
Visit Abu Simbel with flight, with our Egyptologist. Check into the Nile cruise boat this evening.(B,L,D)

Days 7 & 8 Nile Cruise
Visit the High Dam and explore Philae Temple and the Unfinished Obelisk quarry. Enjoy our Nile cruise with visits to Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples along the way.(2B,2L,2D)

Day 9 Luxor
Walking tour and lectures at Karnak and Luxor Temples and visit to the Mummification Museum.(B)

Day 10 Valley of the Kings, Luxor
Tour of the Valley of the Kings where we explore some of the tombs and observe archeologists searching for new sites. Visit the Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon and enjoy a local specialty with an Egyptian pizza dinner. Option to visit the Tomb of Tutankhamun.(B,D)

Day 11 St Catherine, Mount Sinai
Fly to Sharm el Sheikh and transfer to St Catherine. Take a guided Mount Sinai trek this evening or early tomorrow morning.(B,D)

Days 12 & 13 Dahab
Walking tour of historic St. Catherine Monastery. Travel to a Red Sea resort near Dahab with option to swim, snorkel and relax.(2B)

Day 14 Cairo
Flight to Cairo to visit the Egyptian Museum and take an orientation walk of Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Option to visit the Mummy room.(B,L)

Depart at any time.(B)
