Day 1 - Depart USA
Board your overnight flight (not included).

Day 2 to Day 3 - Athens City of the Gods
Welcome to Athens, considered the cradle of western civilization! You are met at the airport and transferred to your tour hotel. Later, join your fellow travellers for a Welcome drink. In the morning all the glories of Athens are on display during your sightseeing tour. The highlight, of course, is a visit to the Acropolis to admire the Parthenon, still amazing in its grace, despite the ravages of time and the loss of the Elgin Marbles. You also see the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of the Wingless Victory and Hadrian’s Arch - a magnificent list of treasures from the Classical age. The afternoon is at leisure.(B)

Day 4 to Day 6 - Cruising to Turkey and the Greek Isles
Board your cruise ship and set sail for the lovely island of Mykonos with its dazzling sugar cube houses and white-washed windmills. Tonight the maze of walkways, welcoming tavernas and nightlife are yours to explore. Wake up to find you have docked at the Turkish port of Kusadasi. Visit the bazaar or perhaps take an optional shore excursion to the ancient ruins of Ephesus? Sail to the island of Patmos where St John the Devine was exiled by the Emperor Domitian*. The next morning dock at Heraklion in Crete. Perhaps take an optional excursion to the Palace of King Minos? Later cruise beneath the sheer cliffs of Santorini. Check out the capital of Thira, with it’s cliff top restaurants and cafes, breathtaking views and amazing sunsets. While cruising, enjoy an exquisite variety of Mediterranean dishes as well as flavours, aromas and spices from around the world. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Supper is served on board daily. During your voyage there is also a fun-filled Greek Evening and Dinner with entertainment.(B,L,D,S)

Day 7 - Athens
Disembark this morning and transfer to your hotel where you are at leisure. Relax, shop or bargain in the Flea Market. Perhaps ask about an optional excursion to the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion.(B)

Day 8 - Return to USA
The tour ends with a transfer to the airport. *Tours departing during the months of June, July and August do not visit the Island of Patmos. More time will be spent at other ports of call instead.(B)
