Day 2 to Day 3 - Athens, the City of the Gods
Welcome to Athens, the enchanting capital of Greece where democracy was born and the cradle of western civilization! You are met at the airport and transferred to your luxury hotel in the shadow of the Acropolis, only steps from the city’s main sights and timeless landmarks. As evening falls join us for a Welcome Reception with your Insight Representative which includes drinks and a light, informal meal. In the morning, your sightseeing tour takes you past the National Museum and the University, and the Stadium where the first modern Olympics took place in 1896. See the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch, and then on to the Acropolis with its exquisite Temple of Wingless Victory and majestic Parthenon, built in the 5th century B.C. This afternoon you may want to hunt for bargains in the Monastiraki flea market or join the relaxed café scene on Constitution Square. Alternatively, the energetic may wish to visit the Theatre of Dionysos where the great Greek tragedies were first performed, or stand with the strangely costumed soldiers guarding the Royal Palace. Day 4 to Day 6 - Mykonos Mystique
An early departure takes you to the port of Piraeus where your high-speed express ferry awaits. Settle in to your business class seats for your comfortable journey to the Island of Mykonos, playground of the rich and famous. On arrival you are transferred to your serene and sophisticated resort. Relax by the pool, enjoy the breathtaking views over the Aegean and let the gentle breezes embrace you. Perhaps visit the spa for the ultimate pampering and rejuvenation. This evening, the welcoming tavernas of the town are yours to choose from, or dine at one of the elegant restaurants of your luxurious resort. Under the endless sky, with only a few candles and a bottle of fine wine, you’ll find it’s an intoxicating mix for even the most discerning and well travelled of guests. Then two full glorious days at leisure to explore the riches of Mykonos. Explore the town with its winding maze of walkways, whitewashed houses, magnificent windmills and uninhibited nightlife. Perhaps enjoy a cocktail on the waterfront at little Venice, watch the sunset at Shirley Valentine beach or swim the endless array of dazzling beaches that surround the island. Or why not take a short boat ride to Delos, the holiest island of them all and birthplace of Artemis and Apollo. (3BB)

Day 7 to Day 9 - Santorini Sunsets
Enjoy the extra space and comfort of your business class seats as the high-speed ferry whisks you over to the truly beautiful and impressive island of Santorini. With three sun drenched days on one of the most romantic islands on earth, you wont ever want to leave. You are met at the port and transferred to your elegant hotel situated some 300 meters above the dramatic caldera, at the edge of the capital. Walk for ten minutes along the caldera rim and you will be at the central Fira square. Needless to say, the views rank among the most unforgettable in the world. Then free time to roam about, soak up the atmosphere and take in the beauty you’ll remember for a lifetime. This evening, you’ll witness the first of the golden sunsets for which the island is famous. Over a superb dinner of local specialties you can gaze down to the twinkling cruise ships some 300 metres below, while the sun disappears behind the silhouette of the submerged volcano. During your three night stay, enjoy a wide selection of superb services and facilities at your resort, designed especially to offer luxury, comfort and relaxation. Or explore further afield. The island’s delicious cuisine, white-washed houses that gleam in the bright Aegean sun, narrow cobblestone streets and world renowned sunsets all combine to make Santorini a truly unique holiday experience. Spend your days relaxing in clifftop restaurants and cafés, lazing on the sun-soaked black, red and white beaches, observing history unearthed at the site of Akrotiri, or why not take a kaiki (traditional Greek fishing boat), over to one of the volcanic islands for a swim in the hot springs? Day 10 - Fly back to Athens
This morning maybe take one last dip in the pool and grab your final glimpse over the lustrous Aegean and world-famous caldera. You are transferred to the airport for your return flight to Athens. Day 11 - Return to USA
Your tour draws to a close today. After checking out of the hotel there are transfers to the airport for your onward flight. (BB)
