Travel to Nepal and begin this epic Himalayan cycling journey by jumping headfirst into the city’s kaleidoscope of colour and sound.

Days 3-5 Lhasa
Fly over the Himalayas to lively Lhasa and absorb the spiritual vibe while acclimatising to the altitude.

Day 6 Chusul
Cycle out to the ancient Drepung Monastery on the outskirts of Lhasa before hitting the Freedom Highway.

Day 7 Yamdrok Lake/Nagatse
Embark on a steep climb to Kamba La and marvel at the turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake over lunch.

Day 8 Gyantse
Head to Karol La before enjoying an exhilarating descent into the Yang Chug Valley.

Days 9-10 Shigatse
Ride across plains against a backdrop of mountains. Relish in a day out of the saddle in Shigatse - perhaps wander through Tashihunpo Monastery.

Day 11 Lhatse
Traverse the Shigatse plains before ascending to Tra La and Tsuo La. Enjoy a fast descent down to Lhatse.

Day 12 Gyatso La
Travel up Gyatso La, the highest pass on the Friendship Highway - the sight of Everest looming in the distance is bound to impress.

Day 13 Pang La
Ascend Pang La then head off-road - down twists and turns - into Rongbuk Valley.

Days 14-15 Rongbuk/Everest Base Camp
Catch a glimpse of Everest from Rongbuk Monastery and discover its intricate interior. Ascend to Base Camp and be humbled by the incredible 360-degree views of the Himalayas.

Day 16 Tingri
Cycle off-road over Nam La and on to Tingri, a small town overlooking sweeping plains with distant views of Everest.

Day 17 Nyalam
Conquer Tibet’s last pass, Shung La, before the epic downhill journey to Nyalam.

Day 18 Dhulikhel
Cross the famous Friendship Bridge at Kodari on the way back into Nepal.

Days 19-20 Kathmandu
Enjoy Kathmandu Valley’s postcard scenery and explore World Heritage-listed Bhaktapur. Toast the completion of this incredible Lhasa to Kathmandu ride over a celebratory dinner of Nepalese cuisine.
