Hurtigruten Cruises offers escorted and independent cruise tours in Norway, with several itineraries stretching into neighboring Scandinavian nations. Its most popular trips sail along the 1,250-mile western coast of Norway above and below the Arctic Circle, stopping at small fishing villages and major cities, and taking in views of snowcapped peaks and spectacular fjords. In recent years, Hurtigruten has extended its expedition cruising program, venturing to Greenland, Antarctica and the Chilean Fjords. Theme cruises include killer whale safaris and encounters with the Sami people of far-north Norway. The company also offers sailings along Sweden's Gota Canal.
