Days 2-4 Kanchanaburi/River Kwai
Famed for being the location of the Bridge on the River Kwai, Kanchanaburi is a beautiful town surrounded by verdant jungle, waterfalls and rivers.

Day 5 Ayutthaya
Once a glorious city with golden palaces and grand buildings, Ayuthaya was destroyed by the Burmese and is now a typical Thai town with impressive ruins.

Days 6-7 Chiang Mai
Awash with stunning temples, fabulous markets and a lively city centre, charming Chiang Mai is rich in culture and the gateway to the northern hilltribes.

Day 8 Doi Mae Salong
A relatively new village and part of Thailand's infamous 'Golden Triangle' area, Doi Mae Salong is land of tea plantations, hilltribe villages and cherry blossoms.

Day 9 Homestay
An experience like no other, spend the night with a welcoming Thai family, learning about their lives and traditions before sharing a delicious dinner.

Days 10-11 Hilltribe Trek
Meet the hilltribes of Northern Thailand while walking through lush, verdant jungle, enjoying the hospitality, cuisine and friendliness of the people who call this area of Thailand home.

Day 12 Chiang Rai
The charming city of Chiang Rai still has a small-town feel and is a lovely place to explore with a colourful night market and downtown area.

Day 13 Chiang Mai
Chiang Mai means 'new city', even though it was founded in 1296! It's a favourite among travellers due to its relaxed feel and cultural richness.

Days 14-15 Bangkok
Bangkok is more than just colourful city streets, khlongs (canals) weave their way through suburbs, forest parks green up the city and Buddhist temples help bring serenity.
