Insight maintains a leisurely touring pace, with frequent two- or
three-night stopovers. City hotels are centrally located, near major
shopping areas and entertainment. Marriott, Westin, Sheraton and Hilton
properties are often used. Other lodgings take advantage of scenic
settings, like the Norwegian fjords or the sloping hills of Tuscany.
Some hotels are chosen for their historic character, such as a castle in
Ireland.
Breakfast and some dinners are included in the upfront rate. Highlight
Dinners are a special treat, ranging from "ceilidhs" with
traditional music and dance in the Scottish Highlands to dinnertime
flamenco shows in Spain. There also are Dine-Around Evenings, which
allow guests to choose from a list of participating restaurants.
