TranzAlpine Railway

New Zealand's TranzAlpine Railway is a passenger train which has been running since the year 1987. While on the four and half hour journey between Christchurch and Greymouth, the train travels through some breathtaking scenery such as the dramatic contrast of dry beech forests and tussock land on one side of the Alps and lush green landscapes on the other.

While on board, the staff's main priority is to make its passengers feel right at home. Some of the amenities on the train include a cafe, large windows in all the carriages, open-air carriage in the middle of the train, and overhead racks for baggage.
