All This Included
“...It's time for a holiday. Life is a cabaret, old chum.” In these lyrics from Cabaret, set in Berlin, Liza Minnelli reminds us life is to be enjoyed—and we should take vacations! Monograms agrees, which is why we’ve made traveling to Berlin easy for you. On this 4-day vacation to Berlin, we've arranged your hotel reservations, daily breakfast, and sightseeing. To help you feel comfortable and at home in the city, we've also arranged the services of a Monograms Local Host®, someone who is there for you throughout your stay to answer questions, give you insights, and help ensure your vacation is all you want it to be.
Your vacation begins as soon as you arrive in Berlin. Your Local Host will greet you with a warm welcome, help you get settled, and give you a set of materials full of useful information on the city. You can begin exploring immediately and the next morning, after included breakfast, we’ll pick you up at your hotel for guided sightseeing with a local expert. Berlin is a city with a tumultuous history, and you'll hear inside stories that only a local can share. You’ll see some of the famous landmarks, such as the restored Reichstag, Germany's historic Parliament building; Checkpoint Charlie, the famous border checkpoint between the American and Soviet sectors; and remains of the Berlin Wall. We’ll stop for a picture at the Holocaust Memorial and Brandenburg Gate, the gateway that was the former border between the East and West.
You’ll also have a full day to explore on your own. Perhaps visit one of the many museums, such as the Jewish Museum; take an excursion to Potsdam, the palace where the Prussian kings spent their summers; take a tour to learn about the final days of the Third Reich; watch a cabaret show; or just grab a beer at a local Biergarten. Your Local Host will have suggestions and can help you arrange your activities.
Berlin is an interesting city that can only be truly appreciated in the company of locals who understand its history and the challenges of reuniting. That's why we've arranged the guides and Local Host that we have. Between them and the sightseeing we've included, the hotel we’ve booked, and the breakfasts we've included, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy!
