Itinerary
Click for Dates and Prices Day 1 Arrive Las Vegas
Welcome to Las Vegas. Check in to your hotel, then enjoy the afternoon to take in the sights and sounds of Las Vegas with a stroll down the Strip. At 6 p.m., gather at the hotel with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception. (Welcome Reception)

Day 2 Las Vegas – Grand Canyon National Park
Say goodbye to Sin City and depart for Grand Canyon National Park. Along the way, hit the "Mother Road" on historic Route 66. Watch the classic motels and restaurants of a simpler time roll by, framed by stunning desert landscapes. Upon arrival at the Grand Canyon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, meet with a Local Specialist who walks you through the geologic life of the canyon. You'll become a rock expert yourself as you examine the multi-coloured rocks from different eras of the canyon's formation. This evening, gather to watch the sunset and the fading light gilding the canyon and casting enchanting shadows. (Full Breakfast)

Day 3 Grand Canyon National Park – Sedona
Rise early to catch the first sunlight washing over the canyon. If you like, perhaps take an optional helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft flightseeing trip to view the canyon from the sky. Then, travel south through the fragrant pine groves of the Kaibab National Forest and down Oak Creek Canyon where you can admire the stunning red cliffs amid the pristine forests of ponderosa pines on your way to the artists' enclave of Sedona, a lovely town situated in the high desert of Arizona. Enjoy some free time or, if adventure is your thing, take part in an optional jeep experience into Red Rock Country. Relax during a leisurely dinner at your hotel this evening. (Full Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 4 Sedona – Monument Valley – Lake Powell (2 Nights)
Back on the road, head north and stop at Cameron Trading Post to browse through handicrafts and maybe sample some tasty fry bread. Traverse the badlands of the Painted Desert, the rugged landscape changing hour-by-hour as the sun illuminates the eroded stone of the desert floor. Continue on to striking Monument Valley where you'll hop aboard an open-air vehicle to explore the magnificent mesas and iconic rock formations. Even more spectacular vistas await as you arrive on the shores of glittering Lake Powell, one of America's most beautiful lakes. Enjoy dinner at your resort among the stunning scenery tonight. (Full Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 5 Lake Powell
The day is yours. Rise early for an adventurous hike or relax in the sun on the shores of this 186 mile (300 kilometre) long lake, formed by the Glen Canyon Dam. Gather with some of your travelling companions for an optional raft experience down one of the prettiest sections of the Colorado River or a scenic cruise on the lake, visiting magnificent Antelope Canyon*. If you want, hit the water on a kayak on one of the lake's glittering bays. (Full Breakfast)

Day 6 Lake Powell – Bryce Canyon National Park – Zion National Park (2 Nights)
Continue your journey into Bryce Canyon National Park, home to the world's largest concentration of hoodoos, those towering limestone spires that rise majestically from the desert floor. From the rim of the amphitheatre, gaze down upon thousands of pink, orange and yellow pinnacles, the result of millions of years of erosion. You may even spot one of the park's bristlecone pines, the world's longest-living trees. (Full Breakfast)

Day 7 Zion National Park
Join a Local Specialist and naturalist in Zion, for a guided walk and introduction to the flora and fauna of the area. You'll be amazed by the petrified sandstone formation of Checkerboard Mesa and the otherworldly Zion. The rest of the day is yours to immerse yourself in the surrounding beauty. Marvel at the graceful slot canyons, towering cliffs and awe-inspiring monoliths, all carved out over 200 million years from the orange sandstone. Stretch your legs during a stroll along the Virgin River from the Temple of Sinawava to the start of the Narrows slot canyon or hike up to the three Emerald Pools. Spot some of the more than 200 species of birds or join a park ranger to learn more about the inhabitants who live there on one of the many daily programs. This evening, share your adventures with your travelling companions at a festive Farewell Dinner. (Full Breakfast, Farewell Dinner)

Day 8 Zion National Park – Depart Las Vegas
Head west and travel along one of the windiest sections of interstate ever constructed as you wind your way through the Virgin River Gorge on your way to the flat expanses of the Mojave Desert and the neon lights of Las Vegas. A transfer is provided to Las Vegas International Airport and to the Tropicana Las Vegas if you'd like to extend your stay. (Full Breakfast)
