El Chepe - First Express

The Chihuahua-Pacific Railway, better known as El Chepe, traverses the ruggedly beautiful Copper Canyon from Chihuahua in north east Mexico to Los Mochis on the Pacific coast. This masterpiece of Mexican engineering is the ideal base from which to delve into the unique culture, history and folklore of the region, to say nothing of the spectacular scenery.

First Express trains depart at 6:00 a.m., arriving at the final destination at 9:00 p.m. On the way, stops are made at tourist stations including a longer stop at Divisadero to enjoy the Copper Canyon.
