DAY 1 ARRIVE SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
Arrive in cosmopolitan Sydney, where you are met and transferred to your hotel next to the city’s historic Rocks area. Tonight, gather for a welcome dinner. (Dinner)

DAY 2 SYDNEY | WILD THINGS IN HARBOR CITY
Ride Like a Local when you venture to the hillside Taronga Zoo by ferry and sky safari cable car, enjoying breathtaking views en route of Sydney’s glimmering harbor. An expert guide leads you to exhibits of kangaroos, koalas, dingoes and impressive Australian birds. Explore on your own, perhaps checking out condors and barking owls. Later, enjoy a tour of this exciting city, discovering sights that include the Circular Quay, the Royal Botanic Garden, Hyde Park and Chinatown. (Breakfast, Lunch)

DAY 3 SYDNEY | SURF LESSONS & JET-BOAT THRILLS
Head out for a day of surf, sand and sun at Bondi Beach, home of the famous Bondi Beach Lifesavers. Aussie surfers carve up sandbar breaks in the distance, while your family hits the waves for a private group surf lesson. After a beachside lunch, transfer to Circular Quay’s Eastern Pontoon for a thrilling jet-boat tour. Cruise Sydney Harbour, experiencing fun fishtails and spins while taking in sights that include the Sydney Harbour Bridge, one of the tallest steel arch bridges in the world. Return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure. Tonight, enjoy dinner together with the new friends you’ve made at a local restaurant. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 4 ULURU | SACRED ROCK OF THE ABORIGINES
Fly to central Australia’s vast Outback and transfer to your accommodations near Uluru (Ayers Rock), a 600-million-year-old sandstone monolith held sacred by Australia’s Aboriginal people. After some time at leisure at your hotel, and perhaps a swim at the pool, set out for a tour of Uluru with your Resident Tour Director, who shares stories of the monolith’s legendary powers. Stop to enjoy tasty canapés, soft drinks and sparkling wine from a prime location, where you watch the sun set on the mystical monolith, its distinct red coloration aglow in the low light of day. Return to your hotel for dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)

DAY 5 KATA TJUTA | CAMEL RIDE THROUGH THE DESERT
Rise early for an adventure through the desert landscape of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, where you see its gorgeous stone domes known as the Olgas. After lunch at leisure, join indigenous artists for a dot-painting workshop, during which you make your own souvenirs to bring home. Tonight’s sunset may prove to be the most memorable yet; climb aboard a camel for a ride through the Kata Tjuta’s beautiful red sand dunes, with inspiring Uluru in the distance. Later, enjoy a tasting of local Outback foods, such as freshly baked damper (bread). (Breakfast)

DAY 6 ULURU | AUSSIE MUSIC MAKING & FOODIE ADVENTURE
This morning, a local guide teaches you to play the didgeridoo, a wind instrument first played by Australia's indigenous peoples an estimated 40,000 years ago and known for its haunting sounds. Next, partake in an A&K Family Foodie Experience, enjoying a cooking lesson with local chefs, and then feasting on the dishes you prepare. Later, fly to Cairns. A drive along the beautiful South Pacific coast takes you to Port Douglas, where you check in to your beachfront hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch)

DAY 7 PORT DOUGLAS | THE GREAT BARRIER REEF
Today, set sail for a full day of snorkeling in the gentle Low Isles of the magnificent Great Barrier Reef. Explore a dazzling array of fish and coral, including tiny clown fish and striking blue surgeonfish, and learn about the history and future of this fragile marine environment. Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch as well as morning and afternoon teas. Return to your hotel, where tonight brings more family fun with an Outback Aussie dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 8 DAINTREE RAINFOREST | ABORIGINAL WALKABOUT
Travel to the brilliantly green Daintree Rainforest, where a member of the Kuku Yalanji people invites your family on an Aboriginal walkabout. Tour the tribe’s ancestral country around Daintree: walk through rainforest and coastal habitats, learn about ancient traditions and medicines derived from nature, sample some authentic bush tucker and practice spear throwing.
