Amtrak Vacations offers both escorted and independent train tours to some of the most spectacular cities in the United States and Canada. Passengers can relax in Amtrak's comfortable seats and view bustling cities and breathtaking landscapes through panoramic windows.

The company's escorted rail journeys carry a maximum of 28 travelers. When you're not on the train, you'll travel on mini-coaches that allow for easy maneuvering through winding mountain roads and busy city streets. Your accommodations, sightseeing, activities and meals are all included in the price of your trip.

Independent rail journeys are also available from Amtrak. These packages include train transportation between cities and accommodations in centrally located hotels. While some guided sightseeing is included on select itineraries, most of the exploring is done on your own.
