Spending time on the Nile River is an attractive part of many Egypt travel itineraries. On the cruising portion of Egypt tours, you might see the Aswan High Dam or the Colossi of Memnon, two 75 feet high, 1000 ton statues that once guarded an ancient mortuary. Some Egypt vacations include a short ride on the Nile aboard a felucca -- a small, traditional sailboat. Other Egypt vacations feature a Nile cruise on a riverboat complete with river-view cabins.
