Cross the International Date Line on your way to Melbourne, Australia.

On arrival in Melbourne, you will be transferred to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 4 p.m.). The remainder of the day is free for you to explore on your own. (WR)

Tour the sights of Melbourne including the eclectic little laneways, arcades, and café society on your Local Specialty private walking tour. Spend the rest of the day as you wish.  (B)


Fly to Cairns this morning. On arrival, visit the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, a celebration of the living history of the Indigenous people of he rainforest. Discover the medicinal values of bush tucker, and enjoy professional theatre incorporating traditional Aboriginal dance, fire making, and storytelling. Join an Indigenous staff member for a fun introduction to Aboriginal art and see how Aboriginal culture is expressed in their artwork. Create your own boomerang dot painting, which you can take home as a souvenir of your Local Speciality experience. (B)

Board a high-speed catamaran and cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. A Local Expert gives a reef education presentation, then see coral and tropical fish from the underwater observatory and semi-submersible craft. There is the opportunity to go snorkeling and view this natural living wonder up close (equipment provided). Enjoy a Highlight Lunch, then return to Cairns in the late afternoon. (B,HL)

Visit the Cairns Wildlife Dome, and encounter unique Australian animals. Later, you’ll be transferred to Cairns Airport for your fight to Sydney. The remainder of the day is free. Perhaps take a stroll through Darling Harbour or wander down to the historic Rocks district. (B)

This morning enjoy a tour of the Sydney Opera House with a Local Expert. Later, board your coach to see the Royal Botanic Gardens and Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair. Continue on to famous Bondi Beach for an iconic Australian experience. You’ll be greeted by a local surf lifesaver before a Be My Guest lunch at an Aussie institution, the Returned Servicemen’s Club, with its views over the Pacific Ocean. Your host will take you on an exclusive tour through Australia’s oldest surf lifesaving club to learn about the history of Bondi and surf lifesaving. Return to the city for a cruise on the beautiful harbor and then you will have the opportunity to learn about Australia’s national gemstone – the opal.  (B, Be My Guest Lunch)
Spend the day relaxing or shopping for souvenirs. Celebrate this evening with a Farewell Dinner at a restaurant by the water, with your Travel Director and newfound friendS. (B,FD)

Day 1 Arrive in Fiji
On arrival at Nadi International Airport, you will receive a traditional shell lei greeting followed by a private car transfer to your resort. The rest of the day is free.

Day 2 Fiji. Free Time
Enjoy a full day relaxing by one of Fiji’s largest fresh water swimming pools or spend the day enjoying some of the resort’s many water activities. Why not treat yourself to a treatment at Bebe Spa? (B)

Day 3 Sigatoka River Safari Experience
Start your safari with a 10 mile jet boat cruise on the crystal clear water into the Sigatoka Valley, to the fertile area known as the salad bowl of Fiji. Your Local Expert will tell you about the history of the region, including its cannibal past. When you reach your destination, you’ll be greeted warmly by the villagers. (A different village is visited every day to minimize the impact of tourism in these remote areas.) Visit the village Chief’s bure (house) and take part in a Kava ceremony, followed by a tour of the village and a Fijian lunch. After some traditional Fijian singing and dancing by your hosts, it’s time to board your boat and return to your resort. (B,L)

Day 4 Fiji. Free Time
Another full day for you to unwind, relax, and enjoy this tropical paradise. You may wish to learn more about the Fijian culture at the daily Kava ceremony or take part in the Fijian cultural activities. (B)

Day 5 Depart Fiji
This morning, you will be transferred by private car to Nadi International Airport where your stopover ends. (B)
