Floriade

Once every ten years Holland invites the world to enjoy the "theatre of nature" at the Floriade World Horticultural Expo. From April through October 2022, the Dutch city of Almere will play host to this colorful spectacle housing the world's most exceptional flowers, plants, trees and more.

The Expo's theme will be Growing Green Cities, with four sub-themes of Greening the City, Feeding the City, Healthying the City and Energizing the City. The exhibition will feature 148 acres of gardens, presentations from 40 countries, a spectacular greenhouse complex, an aerial cableway across Floriade park, pavilions with sustainable innovations and cultural programs featuring music, dance, literature, theater and visual art from all over the world.

Trips that include an excursion to Floriade might also explore the Dutch waterways of Belgium and Holland and the UNESCO-designated Upper Middle Rhine Valley. The Floriade experience is included in the price of your cruise, along with accommodations, guided sightseeing and most meals.
