Viking River Cruises

Viking offers culturally enriching, destination-focused river cruises in Europe, the U.S. and other destinations. Right now, our customers can take advantage of a "Discover More Sale" with Viking that features special cruise markdowns and free or reduced airfare. To see all current deals, click here.

With Viking Inclusive Value, everything you need is covered in the upfront price: your stateroom, one shore excursion in every port of call, unlimited Wi-Fi, all onboard meals with complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks at lunch and dinner, and all port taxes and fees. Specialty coffees, teas and bottled water are available at all times on the ship. Meals served in onboard restaurants highlight regional cuisine and use locally sourced ingredients.

The line's well-designed itineraries explore local culture, cuisine and traditions through engaging experiences on and off the ship. Many port calls include tours of UNESCO World Heritage sites, for example, and ships dock right in the heart of town, putting you within walking distance of shops, restaurants and attractions. On board, you can enjoy lectures, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and entertaining performances.

Viking Longships feature state-of-the-art engineering and understated sophistication, with public areas that embrace the outdoors and are filled with natural light. The Aquavit Terrace at the bow of each 190-guest vessel serves as a viewing area and a spot for alfresco dining. All staterooms have river views, and half of them boast full-size verandas. Among the accommodation options are 445-square-foot Explorer Suites with two full rooms and private wraparound verandas.

Viking will introduce a new WWII itinerary this year to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Next year, the company will debut Rhine & Main Explorer, an 11-day voyage through southern Germany, Switzerland and France. New Mississippi River itineraries, ranging from 8 to 22 days in length, are also available this year and next.

Here are a few of our most popular Viking river cruises:

Rhine Getaway -- On an 8-day route between Amsterdam and Basel, you'll visit 700-year-old Marksburg Castle, the Alsatian city of Strasbourg and the windmills of Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Danube Waltz -- Explore Vienna's historic city center, visit the medieval Czech town of Cesky Krumlov and walk the streets of Passau, lined with Roman, Baroque and Gothic architecture on this 8-day itinerary.

Grand European Tour -- See the sights along the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers on a 15-day panoramic sailing between Amsterdam and Budapest. Guided tours reveal the legends and lore of cities like Cologne, Melk and Regensburg.
