Its bustling city streets are lined with beautiful gardens, fascinating museums, celebrated monuments and grand theaters – and you’ll be a part of it all! This evening, experience a classic British pastime when you join your fellow travelers for a special welcome dinner. (D) Day 3 London Experience the London you’ve always imagined when you take a panoramic tour on a retro double-decker bus. Cruise through the West End with a local expert, taking in Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and Big Ben. End with a visit to Harrods, London’s most iconic store. Then, travel like a true Londoner and hop on the famous Underground, known to locals as "the Tube.” Become acquainted with London’s trendiest borough on a walking culinary tour of the East End. Discover a world of English favorites, taste the city’s Indian influence with a sampling of curries, and experience East London’s “pub of the year” for an ale tasting. (B,L) Day 4 London This morning enjoy a walk through the neighborhoods of Kensington and Knightsbridge, known for their iconic shops and famous residents. Explore the beautifully manicured Kensington Gardens before venturing inside Kensington Palace, once the home of Queen Victoria and Princess Diana. Personalize your afternoon because it’s your choice! Enjoy a matinee performance at one of London’s many theatres -OR- get a glimpse into British culture when you sit down for afternoon tea at Covent Garden. (B) Day 5 London - Greenwich - London Peek into the city’s storied past with a visit to the Tower of London, uncovering the secrets of this 11th-century fortress. Then, see the Tower from a different perspective and hop on a cruise along the River Thames to Greenwich. Explore Greenwich Market, a lively collection of local stalls, specialty treats, and charming venues for lunch and shopping. Test your seafaring prowess onboard the Cutty Sark, a Victorian-style ship that served as a tea clipper. Return to London where the evening is yours. (B) Day 6 London It’s your last day in London. Spend your time independently exploring more of London’s treasures, or consider an optional excursion to Windsor Castle. Originally built to guard the city of London, Windsor Castle has been home of kings and queens for 9 centuries and is the oldest royal residence still in use today. Tonight, gather for a special farewell dinner at a favorite London restaurant and toast the end of a wonderful getaway. (B,D) Day 7 London - Tour Ends Bid farewell to your fellow travelers. (B)
