DAY 1, Wednesday - Depart for Costa Rica
Welcome to San Jose, the cultural hub of the country. Proceed to the rental car facility to pick-up your car and begin your vacation in the beautiful Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Time to rest, relax and get ready for your adventure in eco-rich Costa Rica, often called “Pura Vida” – the country with a relaxing and happy lifestyle. (Dinner**)

DAY 2, Thursday - Leisure Time or Central Pacific Coast
The day is yours to explore your new surroundings on the Central Pacific coast, with both wet and dry tropical rainforests, sun-drenched sandy beaches and home to the busy port city of Puntarenas. The national parks here, protect endangered squirrel monkeys and scarlet macaws, while the offshore waters are home to migrating whales and pods of dolphins. Immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of the natural surroundings, the inspiring landscapes and water activities galore, ranging from swimming and surfing to sport fishing and scuba diving. DAY 3, Friday - Leisure Time or Drive to Jaco
Set out for the bustling town of Jaco, with its two mile beach that is a world-renowned surfer’s paradise during your day at leisure. Perhaps visit Carara National Park, the northernmost Pacific coastal rainforest in Costa Rica, filled with indigenous flora and fauna. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner**)
DAY 4, Saturday - Leisure Time or Monteverde Cloud Forest
A great day to visit Monteverde, home of the stunning Cloud Forest Reserve. It’s the best place in Costa Rica to enjoy the striking combination of lush forests and verdant pastures, an excellent place for bird watching and hiking along the misty trails. The dense vegetation and majestic trees in this 26,000 acres reserve are an important link in the growing network of protected areas in Costa Rica. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner**)
DAY 5, Sunday - Leisure Time or Manuel Antonio National Park
Don’t miss a drive along the shores of the gorgeous Pacific Coast to Manuel Antonio National Park, with its exotic blend of white sand beaches and an exuberant tropical forest. As you travel through the scenic mountains to the ocean’s shore it’s not unusual to spot iguanas and white faced monkeys on the beach! On the tour of the park, you can view the mangrove swamps home to over 109 species of mammals and 184 species of birds, lush beach vegetation and sparkling lagoons. DAY 6, Monday - Depart Costa Rica
Drive to the airport in San Jose. Return your vehicle at the car rental facility prior to your departure flight. (Breakfast**)

Drivers must be between 21 and 74 years old to rent a vehicle. A valid drivers license issued a minimum of 24 months prior to rental is required. The lead passenger will be the listed as the driver of the vehicle. Additional drivers may be added for an additional cost at the time of vehicle pick-up.

This independent program allows the flexibility to explore on your own. Affordable optional sightseeing excursions are available to enhance your holiday.
