Day 01. Arrival / Athens
Arrival at the Athens airport, welcome assistance and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

Day 02. City tour and the temple of Poseidon / Athens 
The morning is dedicated to exploring the city of Athens. We begin with a panoramic tour to the most important monuments and landmarks of the city including the Panathinaikon stadium, the Zappeion, the temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, Syntagma square, the Parliament, the tomb of the unknown soldier, Schliemann's house, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and the old Parliament. Next we head for our guided visit to the Acropolis, including the Propylae, the temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, the Erechtheion. Later, we continue with a guided visit to the Acropolis museum voted one of the best museums in the world. We will then enjoy our lunch at a local restaurant and continue with a scenic drive along the coastal road of Athens to the southern-most tip of Attica, Cape Sounion. Here stands the temple of Poseidon on top of a high hill, with stunning views to the Saronic gulf and the Aegean. On a clear day, one can spot up to 7 of the Cycladic islands. After guide visit and some free time we will take the return drive to our hotel for the evening. (B,L)
 
Day 03. At leisure / Athens 
Breakfast and day at leisure to explore more of the city on your own. A walk in Ermou street for some shopping, exploring Plaka, Monastiraki and Thision or a visit to the National Archaeological museum, or an optional excursion to Delphi, are some of your options for the day. Overnight in Athens. (B)
 
Day 04. Corinth canal, Mycenae and the island of Poros / Athens 
After our breakfast we depart towards the Peloponnese. First stop will be to admire the impressive Corinth canal. We continue with our visit to Mycenae «rich in gold» as Homer mentions, with the Cyclopean walls, and the tomb of Agamemnon with the famous Lion’s Gate. Further drive in the Peloponnese will bring us that the seaside village of Galatas. A very short sail with the local ferry will bring us to the beautiful island of Poros. Explore the islands and take a walk on the sea-front promenade, before we enjoy our included lunch at a local restaurant by the sea. In the afternoon we will take the road back to Athens. (B,L)
 
Day 05. Dancing the Zorba / Athens 
Morning will be at leisure for you to explore more of Athens on your own. Visit the national archaeological museum, or spend a day shopping at one of the designer outlets. In the evening, we will head at a typical Greek restaurant for our farewell dinner. Enjoy the live Greek music, and join hands to dance Zorba the Greek! (B,D)
 
Day 06. Departure 
Breakfast and at the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
