Namibia
Etosha National Park, one of the largest parks in Africa at nearly 14,000 square miles, is a highlight of trips to Namibia. It is home to elephants, lions, rhinos and antelope, among other species. At Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert, visitors can photograph the striking red-orange sand dunes or join game drives along the dry riverbeds in search of oryx, gemsboks and ostriches. Travelers may also stop at dramatic Fish River Canyon, the second-largest gorge in Africa.
The coastal town of Swakopmund is graced with palm trees, promenades and public gardens. While in this seaside retreat, you may take a boat trip to view seals, dolphins, whales and penguins. Windhoek, Namibia's capital, offers several museums and cosmopolitan attractions.
