Day 1 Arrive Windhoek, Namibia
Touch down in Namibia’s capital and transfer to your hotel for a relaxing evening.
Day 2 Windhoek/ Etosha Private Game Reserve
Fly to the impressive Etosha Heights Private Game Reserve. Perched on top of a hill, your lodge has spectacular views of the rugged Namibian savannah, stretching as far as the eye can see. Wildlife roam freely across this never-ending space, unhindered and unobstructed. Celebrate your arrival with an evening game drive. (BLD)
Day 3 Etosha Private Game Reserve
Safari game drives take place in the early morning and late afternoon. Keep your eyes peeled for lion, giraffe, ostrich and hyena, as well as the elusive black and white rhino. Later this evening, set out on a night game drive and discover the magic of the Namibian bush after dark. Return to camp for dinner under the stars. (BLD)
Day 4 Etosha Private Game Reserve
This is a place of silence and solitude, and a rare opportunity to be at one with nature and the animals that thrive here. Spend some time in the photography hide and watch the animals going about their day, completely unaware that they are being watched. (BLD)
Day 5 Etosha Private Game Reserve / Skeleton Coast
Fly off to the desolate Skeleton Coast, where miles of sandy desert, dotted with shipwrecks, meet the chilly Atlantic Ocean. Yet, despite the arid conditions, an amazing array of wildlife and plants survive in this harsh but beautiful environment. After lunch, join your guide for a late afternoon game drive to explore the dunes and dry riverbeds. (BLD)
Day 6 Skeleton Coast
Wake to the ocean fog rolling in over the stark landscape, and a chance to explore this raw and rugged slice of African wilderness. Visit the seals at Mowe Colony, walk across the lunar landscapes, and discover the secrets of the desert. (BLD)
Day 7 Skeleton Coast / Sossusvlei
Say goodbye to the otherworldly Skeleton Coast, and fly to the iconic red dunes of Sossusvlei. Enjoy lunch, and then jump in the vehicle for a late afternoon game drive in search of oryx, springbok, bat-eared fox and the brown hyena. Stop for a sundowner just as the desert turns fiery red with the setting sun. (BLD)
Day 8 Sossusvlei
The dunes come alive in the morning light, when clear blue skies contrast with the apricot dunes to make this one of the most scenic natural wonders of Africa. Climb 'Big Daddy', one of the tallest dunes; explore Deadvlei, a white, salt, claypan dotted with ancient trees. After a picnic lunch, and a quick hike in the breathtaking Sesriem canyon, return to camp for a siesta. Tonight, fall asleep under the Milky Way on the roof of your “kulala.” (BLD)
Day 9 Sossusvlei
Looking for adventure? The day’s activities are up to you. Try quad biking across the wide-open spaces of the beautiful Kulala Wilderness Reserve, or for the ultimate highlight, take an optional hot air balloon flight over the desert. (BLD)
Day 10 Sossusvlei / Depart
Enjoy a leisurely morning, before your light aircraft flight to Windhoek. (B)
