Cruising with American Queen Voyages

American Queen Voyages celebrates its 10th anniversary of sailing the grand rivers of the U.S. this year. The company's modern, elegant paddlewheelers cruise the Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, Cumberland and Illinois rivers in America's heartland and the Columbia and Snake rivers in the Pacific Northwest.

Our customers can take advantage of these fantastic offers from the line:

Fly for free from select gateways on many 2023 cruises. Plus, get up to $2,000 per couple off the cruise price when you book certain stateroom categories, and receive $300 per couple in onboard credit. Book by September 30.

Save up to $2,000 per couple on select stateroom categories for other cruise departures in 2022, 20232024. Receive $300 per couple in onboard credit, too. Book by September 30.

The company's river vessels resemble classic 19th-century paddlewheelers with all the comforts of contemporary cruising. The American Queen is the largest steamboat operating overnight cruises on the Mississippi River and its tributaries. It serves as the company's flagship and features a beautiful steam calliope on board.

The line's newest paddlewheeler, the American Countess, debuted last year. It features a sleek, contemporary design and plenty of open space for guest gatherings, especially the portside bar, which offers expansive panoramic views.

Rounding out the collection of paddlewheelers are the American Duchess, a boutique-style riverboat that features four two-story loft suites, and the American Empress, which explores the picturesque Columbia and Snake rivers and houses a unique collection of Native American art. The American Empress is the largest overnight riverboat west of the Mississippi.

American Queen Voyages has a number of themed river itineraries, each offering thoughtful and authentic encounters. Sample flavors of the Pacific Northwest on wine cruises this fall or visit special holiday markets featuring local artisans on Holidays on the River. Learn about the writings of Mark Twain or walk the hallowed sites of Civil War battlefields. There are also American Culinary Experience sailings hosted by the line's Culinary Ambassador, Chef Regina Charboneau, offering onboard cooking demonstrations and port explorations with regional chefs.

In addition to river cruises, the line also operates small-ship coastal cruises and expedition sailings in North America. These ships visit inland harbors, secluded bays and charming ports in destinations like the Great Lakes, Eastern Canada and New England, the southeastern United States, Alaska and Mexico.

On three of the company's Ocean Victory sailings in October that explore the Pacific Coast of Mexico, customers can receive onboard credit of up to $1,500 per couple. On a 14-day trip, customers can also fly for free from select gateways. To see these Mexico cruises, click here.
