DAY 5 | Fine art + city architecture
With privileged early entry before other visitors, your guided tour reveals the most famous paintings of the Hermitage, including masterpieces by Titian, da Vinci, Rembrandt and the Impressionists. DAY 6 | Tsarskoye Selo
Travel to Tsarskoye Selo and tour the Catherine Palace, including the famed Amber Room, for a glimpse into the opulent life of the Tsars. By special arrangement, you’ll also visit the amber studio where skilled craftsmen turn this 40-million-year-old stone into works of art. For lunch, we’ll take you to Podvorye, set in a traditional log home and famed for its fine Russian cuisine. (B+L)

Marvel at the lavishly landscaped grounds and the magnificent grand cascades which flow from mid May to September. Back in the city, we’ve arranged a private tour of the Shuvalov Palace. Its grand interior, once the site of glittering Imperial balls, is now home to the world’s largest collection of works by Carl Fabergé, including nine of his famous Imperial Easter Eggs.
