Day 1 Santiago > Valparaiso, Chile
The World Heritage-listed city of Valparaíso welcomes with its long and colourful history dating back to the conquistadors. This vibrant city is rich in theatre, music, performance and street art and exquisite Victorian architecture. Most streets, staircases, alleyways and buildings are brightly painted. (Dinner)

Day 2 At sea
Relaxation beckons with so many choices on board you will wonder how time passes so quickly. Choose one of the daily activities including a class in Scenic Epicure, join an entertaining discussion in the Theatre, or make time for your own fitness regime. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3 Puerto Montt
At the very end of the Pan American highway is Puerto Montt, which is the starting point for a fabled land of fjords, canals, islands, snow-capped volcanoes, green-forested hills and the enchantment of Southern Chile. Puerto Montt is the perfect starting point to explore the German cities of Frutillar and Puerto Varas.

Freechoice: Visit Puerto Varas and Frutillar and see the beauty of these towns set in the middle of lakes and mountains. Alternatively, explore Osorno Volcano and Petrohué Falls, or choose to visit the Felmer Museum and Frutillar and learn about the German colonisation of this area. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4 Castro
Visit Castro, where colourful wooden stilt houses line the waterfront and the Chilote culture is seen throughout the World Heritage-listed churches and architecture.

Today choose one of our Scenic Freechoice activities or join a more active Scenic Discovery excursion.

Freechoice: Explore Castro and two of the World Heritage-listed chapels or discover the village of Dalcahue and the island of Quinchao. Alternatively, see the farmlands and countryside on horseback.

Discovery: Travel to the Chiloé National Park and stroll the Tepual pathway through a forest of tepu. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5 Inner Fjords
Journey to one of the most spectacular locations in Southern Chile. Board a local catamaran and cruise into the Laguna San Rafael via a narrow opening revealing fantastic views of ice and the San Valentin Glacier. As a dramatic backdrop, the San Valentin Mountain rises from this massive ice field which is part of the Laguna San Rafael National Park.

Visit a coastal village, located between the mouth of the Baker River, the largest river in Chile, and a small embayment of the Baker Channel. The surrounding geography is rugged, formed by a number of islands, fjords, channels and estuaries. Cruise the Angostura Ingles (English Narrows) at the foot of the massive Darwin Cordillera mountain range, the majestic scenery and wildlife of the inner passages of the Chilean Channels is an assault on the senses. Watch from the Sun Terrace, the Observation Terrace or your private verandah as the Captain and local Chilean Pilot expertly manoeuvre Scenic Eclipse through the islands and channel markers of the English Narrows. Day 6-8 Inner Fjords
Explore the Inner Fjords. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 9 Punta Arenas
Not far from Patagonia, the city is located in the extreme south of Chile with a port and sheep-breeding history, the gateway into Antarctica will captivate you with its clean air and sophisticated European architecture.

Freechoice: Join a local guide for a walking tour of Punta Arenas, or visit the Magellan Strait Park and Fort Bulnes and learn the history of this area. Choose to step back in time with a visit to the Nao Victoria’s full-size replica of the Magellan’s ship at Salesian Museum or visit an estancia and discover a new way of life. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 10 Chilean Fjords
Enjoy days of cruising as you traverse the Agostini and Garibaldi Fjords. Glaciers abound with the Monte Buckland mountain range as the backdrop. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 11 Chilean Fjords
A day of cruising. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 12 Cape Horn
The point where the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean meet, Cape Horn is steeped in maritime history and is the southernmost headland of the Tierra del Fuego archipelago and the southernmost tip of Chile. Weather permitting, our landing on Cape Horn will show the true skill of our Captain, crew and the Discovery Team. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 13 Ushuaia, Argentina > Buenos Aires
Your cruise ends this morning as disembark and fly to Buenos Aires taking away memories of a truly unforgettable cruise. (Breakfast)
