Day 1 San José
Welcome to colourful Costa Rica. Enjoy a relaxing overnight at your Special Stay hotel, a beautiful colonial hacienda set on a 30-acre coffee plantation. Relax for the rest of the day and enjoy its fine facilities.
Day 2 San José > Arenal Volcano
Make your way to Arenal Volcano. En route, stop by La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Situated within a private park at an altitude of around 5,000 feet, you can walk along the 3.5 kilometres of trails to visit the five waterfalls, cloud forest and rainforest areas, and the various exotic animal and flower exhibits. Enjoy a delicious lunch prepared using authentic, local ingredients at a traditional restaurant in Poas. Once on the other side of the lake, head towards the town of La Fortuna, home to the colossal Arenal Volcano that will be your host for the next three nights. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3 Arenal Volcano
Enjoy the sights, sounds and tranquillity of the rainforest as you quietly paddle along the Peñas Blancas River. Keep your binoculars ready as a wealth of exotic wildlife awaits you, including monkeys, sloths, and numerous birds. Your expert guides will regale you with enlightening details about the plants and animals you encounter. Soak up the serenity as you travel down the river and capture memories on your camera. Day 4 Arenal Volcano
Enjoy a guided journey through the Arenal Vida Campesina farm, experience life in the Costa Rican countryside by participating in local activities like milking a cow, making tortillas, gathering vegetables from the vegetable garden, milling sugar cane, and drawing water from a handmade well. You will also have the opportunity to sponsor and plant a tree in danger of extinction, followed by a delicious and wholesome organic lunch made with products harvested from the property and cooked on a wood stove. Day 5 Arenal Volcano > Monteverde Cloud Forest
Make your way to the famous cloud forest of the country, Monteverde. Cross the Arenal Lake by boat, one of the most scenic rides that you will have during your journey. Arrive at your luxury eco-hotel for the next two nights. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6 Monteverde Cloud Forest
Take a Sky Tram up to the Continental Divide and to one of the highest mountains of Monteverde. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a ride on the Sky Trek, a system of zip lines consisting of four kilometres of linear cable, and safely zip through the forest. Five observation towers that rise above the treetops will give you the unique opportunity to view the cloud forest from above. Alternatively, enjoy taking a walk over the hanging bridges. (Breakfast)
Day 7 Monteverde Cloud Forest > Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica
Enjoy the scenic ride through forests and farms as you ascend the Tilaran Mountain Range for amazing views of the countryside and Nicoya Gulf. Make your way to board Scenic Eclipse, your home away from home. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 8 Isla Tortugas > Curú National Park
This morning, you awake in a tropical paradise, Isla Tortugas. Remote and pristine, it will ease you gently into your Costa Rica adventure.
On arrival to Curú National Park, visit the Curú Wildlife Refuge. Be introduced to a variety of wildlife that thrives here, including up to 200 species of birds, capuchin and howler monkeys as well as sloths and anteaters. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Quepos
Whether a wildlife lover, thrill seeker or budding chef, today we have an array of activities that will suit you.
Freechoice: Take a boat ride through the mangroves and learn about this a unique and fragile ecosystem, or join a guide through the trails of the Extravaganza Rainforest. Experience a fun and informative tour of local cuisine, or if you would like some adventure, fly through the tree tops of the Titi Canopy or have surf lessons in Manuel Antonio Beach. Day 10 At Sea
Enjoy a relaxed day at sea on board Scenic Eclipse. There is ample time to rejuvenate. Why not choose a class in one of the fitness spaces or try one of the therapy lounges in Senses Spa. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 11 Darién National Park, Panama
Darién National Park is one of the most important UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites in Central America and is only accessible by water on a small ship. A natural bridge spanning the two Americas, it houses a myriad of habitats, ranging from rocky coastlines and sandy beaches to mangroves. It is one of the few remaining examples in the world of a protected area inhabited by humans. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 12 Utria National Park, Colombia
Sitting on Colombia’s Pacific coast is the lush tract of Utría National Park. From coral reefs and mangroves in the marine realm, to tropical rainforest and rocky beaches where sea turtles come to lay their eggs, few places in the world encompass the diversity of Utría’s ecosystems.

Day 14 Isla de la Plata, Ecuador
Isla de la Plata is a small island off Ecuador’s central coast. Part of Machalilla National Park, the uninhabited island features beaches, headlands and shrub land. It’s known for its many marine birds, like the blue-footed and masked boobies. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 15 At Sea
The relaxation continues. Try a game of bridge or canasta in the Observatory Lounge or tempt your palate with a wine tasting. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 16 Salaverry, Peru
Salaverry is the gateway to the cultural capital of Peru, picturesque Trujillo and the amazing ruins of Chan Chan.
Freechoice: Discover the sacred adobe temples, the Pyramid of the Sun and Moon or explore the amazing World Heritage-listed site of Chan Chan. Alternatively, choose to tour the charming colonial city of Trujillo and the Archaeological Museum.

Day 17 Isla Guanape

Day 18 Lima (Callao), Chile
Your cruise ends this morning in Callao (Lima) as you say farewell to your crew. Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight homeward. (Breakfast)
