Flam Railway
One of Europe's most beautiful train journeys, Norway's Flåm Railway is also one of the world's steepest. During a 20 kilometer journey, you'll travel between Myrdal, high in the mountain tops, and Flåm at the innermost corner of the Aurlandfjord 865 meters below. The journey will take you through some of Norway's wildest and most magnificent scenery.
Norway's dramatically changing landscape means a journey on the Flåm Railway is a radically different experience depending on when you travel, but just as stunning in winter as in summer. While on board for the hour journey, you'll see rivers that cut through deep ravines, waterfalls that plunge from the steep cliffs of the snow-capped mountain slopes, as well as mountain farms clinging on to steep slopes. A trip on the Flåm Railway isn't merely a journey, it's a destination in itself.
